Ian - Thanks to Roberto –  Read for Ian by Edoardo at the Funeral

Firstly, I really want to thank everyone here and via the internet for being part of today’s thanks for the life of Roberto.  With very special thanks to our families and friends for their love and support through the good times and the more recent very difficult days.  You are all very special and very important parts of the life and love Roberto and I shared. 

Taking you back to our very early days and when I was working for the British Youth Council, a colleague of mine was writing a publication called “The time of your Life” an expression meaning when you felt or feel you experienced the very best life has to offer.  During one of our staff meetings, we were all asked to give our own account of when we felt the “time of our life” was or began.  Upon my turn and without thinking, I said that the time of my life started when I met Roberto…  My spontaneous proclamation was taken in good spirit - although it was not quite what the group had expected… needless to say the meeting moved quickly on… I have often thought about this and considered the question again - Without hesitation - I can truly say the proclamation has stood the test of time – My time with Roberto has truly been the time of my life! 
Roberto - I have loved you always and have always been sure of your love for me.
